Postgraduate Program in Public Health - Academic Modality

The Postgraduate Program in Public Health - Academic Modality  (PPGSP) was established in 1996 to provide training to students, researchers, and professors in the field of public health. The program's research focuses on addressing global and national health issues, as well as formulating and improving public policies in the health sector and related areas. The PPGSP offers both master's and doctoral courses and has made significant contributions to the collective health field. It is the only program in Pernambuco with a doctoral course in this area certified by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Educational Personnel (CAPES).

Over the past 25 years, the program has trained around 200 doctoral students and 350 master's students, with graduates working in public universities, research centers, and at various levels of the Unified Health System (SUS).
