The Postgraduate Program in Public Health - Professional Modality was established and approved by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Educational Personnel (CAPES) in 2005. The program's primary objective is to equip professionals with the necessary skills to serve as trainers and agents of change in their workplaces by incorporating new concepts, technologies, innovations, and practices that are relevant to the development of Brazil's Unified Health System (SUS). Additionally, the program is the only one in the north and northeast regions that offers a professional doctorate in public health.
